I need a low power binocular (which means a wide angle view) to keep this fast moving bird in view. BUT, I want a high magnification to see it close up. Thus, I need zoom binoculars that can go from 7 to 10 power quickly?



The distance you can get from a creature before it spooks seems to depend upon its size. A large hawk may fly away at 100 yards or more. This may require large heavy 7x to 30x zoom binoculars which can get very heavy after 10 miles of hiking!
